The Role:

  • Work agile testing environment.
  • Execute test analysis of user stories per sprint.
  • Develops, maintains and executes manual, automated, regression, and production verification and validation test strategies and scripts.
  • Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
  • Work intensively with Project Managers and Software Development Team.
  • Liaising with the Development teams to ensure adherence to quality during the scrum process.
  • Execute verification/testing of assigned user stories.
  • Development of Automated regression test using selenium.
  • Usage of bug tracking Database (Jira) including logging, re-testing and closing issues.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Test Automation Framework.
  • Review of Test Cases with other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the development and testing lifecycle.
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve testing coverage and effectiveness.

Requirements for this role

  • Experience in QA role (work placement etc.) would be an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
  • Experience in SQL or other relational database query language
  • Demonstrated knowledge of QA methodology and tools
  • Ability to understand technical specifications
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in Load Testing, Performance and Security Testing also desirable.
  • Automated testing script creation using Selenium or other automation tools very desirable.
  • Expertise in tools such as Selenium, JMeter etc.
  • Knowledge of SOAP/HTTP protocols  desirable
  • Highly methodical approach
  • Excellent Team skills

Emutex is delighted to announce the launch of the Emutex Software Innovator of the Year Scholarship Competition 2015. The purpose of our scholarship, since it was launched in 2012, is to attract more students in Ireland towards careers in Embedded Software Engineering, a domain full of exciting opportunity. We are asking students to submit an idea that will make a positive difference in the real-world. The idea must require a Linux based embedded software and hardware system to implement it. Once the deadline for submissions has closed on the 12th of December, we will select three finalists who will be given the hardware required to build a prototype of their project. The winning student will be awarded a €2000 scholarship in April 2015 to help fund their future education.
